    saddle stitch
    0 references
A form of sewing which employs a repeated figure-of-eight sewing. The term saddle sewing is used to avoid confusion with the term saddle stitch, which is usually used to describe wire stitching. Saddle sewing is most often found on books as the secondary sewing used with covered endbands.
